If you are interested in a 20 or 30 person private trip, call us for pricing details. 2009 TransWorld/CMH Shred Sessions In March 2009, TransWorld and CMH are teaming up for Shred Sessions at the renowned helicopter-riding operation's Galena Lodge. This trip is the chance of a lifetime, open to anyone with strong riding skills and a healthy appetite for powder. You’ll shred the terrain of your dreams with a legendary pro, CMH guides, and the Transworld crew. Nick Hamilton will be there (on his 185 swallowtail) to document the action; slide shows will go down midweek, and he’ll send you home with a CD and a custom print to prove that it was real. Board giveaways, bonfires, and a guaranteed 71,000 vertical feet of riding (five-day trip) are all a part of deal. We have planned this trip for late April, when snow conditions are the most stable and the days are longer, allowing us the opportunities and flexibility to ski more challenging terrain. Take a look at the Skiing the Steeps with CMH slideshow and check out our Skiing the Steeps video to see what kind of terrain we're talking about. You must be a strong, confident skier or rider – comfortable on double black diamond runs at resorts like Whistler and Jackson Hole and able to cope with tighter terrain (i.e. couloirs). This program is designed to take skiers/riders into the most challenging terrain available on any given day. As always our goal is to keep you safe, but we will be looking for the lines that will give you the best chance to develop your skills along with expert coaching. Please note: if you overrate your ability and/or fitness level we reserve the right to move you to a more appropriate group. These weeks will be limited to 9 skiers/riders -- who will be split into 2 groups -- with three guides and a Bell 407 helicopter. The weeks will take place in the Cariboos, April 11 - 18, 2009 and April 18 -25, 2009, at a rate of $9,080, based on twin occupancy. There are some people who are always searching, always looking over the horizon, wondering and wandering: they are the Nomads. For those people, there is only one Heli-Skiing company who can offer them a trip like the “CMH Nomads Week.” The Nomads Weeks is arguably the most dynamic trip ever offered by CMH. Spanning two mountain ranges, the Selkirks and the Monahsees, we will travel through six separate Heli-Skiing areas and cover the far reaches of each of them. The idea is that each of our areas has terrain that, on any given day, will not be utilized by the main groups. With vast amounts of terrain to choose from, we will be looking for the far-flung, yet exceptional, skiing in each area. We will work closely with the guiding team in each of the areas and choose the terrain that is best suited to a single group in the outer reaches of the tenure area. Each day we will endeavor to have a program that keeps us away from the other groups. And with cooperative snow and weather, each day the Nomad group will move through different parts of the ranges. There will be just one group of eight skiers with three guides. One guide will be used exclusively for snow safety work and flagging landings in advance of the skiing group. This trip comes with some uncertainty in that we will not know in advance exactly where we will be skiing. We will know the general areas, but our decisions for any given day will depend upon the weather, the snow, the input of the local guiding teams and the other CMH groups in the areas in which we are travelling. We will start skiing in the north, in the Monashee Mountains, and work our way south to the Selkirk Mountains, ultimately ending our skiing in Kootenay. The first part of the week we will stay in Monashee (and/or Adamant) Lodge. The last three nights will be spent at the wonderful Halcyon Hot Springs Village and Spa.
